In the third quarter of 2017, Bioconsult Inspection & Testing will join Kiwa Inspection & Testing as well. Kiwa Inspection & Testing will not only focus on asbestos, but also on other hazardous materials and substances, Legionella and indoor climate analyses.
The new name comes from the fact that all companies of Kiwa, Inspecta and Shield Group will be operating under one group name, Kiwa. Holding company Shield Group rebranded to Kiwa Compliance International at end of 2016. At the end of 2017, all companies will be renamed to Kiwa.
The same quality under the Kiwa flag
Kiwa Inspection & Testing will maintain the current high quality standards. The laboratories fit with the quality brand and services of Kiwa. Kiwa is an international e-TIC organization, active in the field of Testing, Inspection and Certification, combined with training and e-services. In many sectors, from industry to health care and education, Kiwa helps organizations to visualize and improve the quality of their businesses. Internationally, the name Kiwa, the Kiwa certificates and labels stand for quality, reliability and sustainability.
Mobile scanning electron microscopy
Kiwa Inspection & Testing also sees new opportunities. The laboratories are going to market the so-called mobile scanning electron microscopy (SEM). This mobile application is relatively new in the Netherlands. Kiwa will use this mobile SEM for risk analyses and final measurements in the highest asbestos risk category. The mobile SEM shortens the asbestos survey significantly during calamity control and final measurements. In emergency situations, where there might be asbestos contamination danger, that is an explicit advantage.
